About Dr. DeWitt

Dr. Tara DeWitt has over 10 years of experience providing empathic, engaged and customized individual and couples therapy, trainings and organizational consultation. She holds a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a Health emphasis from Yeshiva university and a Bachelors degree from Smith College. Dr. DeWitt is also a trained facilitator through the National Center for Organizational Development and has been conducting coaching teambuilding services within the tri-state area for over 5 years.

Dr. DeWitt is a national trainer in Motivational Interviewing, an evidence based psychotherapy that facilitates behavior change and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).  She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia (CBT-1), psychodynamic interventions, mindfulness strategies and utilizes integrative psychotherapy techniques to create a custom treatment plan for your needs.

Dr. DeWitt also has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. She specializes in facilitating relationship communication and developing healthy, sustainable relationship patterns in romantic relationships and business partnerships and teams.
